Good afternoon Eagle Families,
We hope you had a restful holiday break. We wanted to remind you that all staff and students will return to school on January 3, 2022. All COVID safety protocols remain in place including mask wearing while indoors. Remember that all Wednesdays will be 1/2 days with students being released early so teachers can participate in required professional development opportunities.

Central Elementary Perfect Attendance Challenge. Students had to have perfect attendance for a week. Our winners starting at the left were Kyrielle Jones (4th), Jenniyuh Sanchez (5th), Brianna Gallegos (6th) , and Orion Romero (4th). We spun the wheel of names for 1 student in each grade that received a bag with goodies. The grand prize winner Orion won a $5 gift card to McDonalds as well as a bag with goodies. 😀

Hello Eagle Families,
We are aware of the nationwide TikTok trend pertaining to school shootings and bomb threats supposedly being planned to take place on December 17, 2021. The news media reports numerous schools in the United States have been receiving threats throughout the week.
We have investigated these threats and they have not originated from BCS students. At this time, there are no known threats or derogatory findings regarding this event in the Belen School District.
We do take these threats seriously and are fortunate to have a successful working relationship with our local and county law enforcement partners. We want to give a big thank you to BCS Chief Harris and VC Sheriff Vigil. We have been assured that all entities will be providing an additional presence on our campuses. We are all carefully monitoring the situation together.
Thank you for your assistance in ensuring our schools remain safe places for our students, staff and families.

Good afternoon Eagles! It's Wednesday, a little late, but we are bringing you the BCS Buzz! The lovely Ms. Baca is joining us today. So, join in, catch up, and check out Mr. Sanchez answering those questions.
