Hello Eagle Families,
Thank you for your attention to this and two other important messages for next week.
First, we would like to remind you to caution your children about the upcoming solar eclipse that will occur during our lunch period Monday 4/8/24.
NASA has warned the public not to look at the eclipse without special safety glasses, to avoid eye damage. The agency also warned of looking at the sun through a camera lens, binoculars or a telescope without a special-purpose solar filter secured over the front of the optics will instantly cause severe eye injury.
Please note BCS will not be providing safety glasses or solar filters.
Thank you-stay tuned for message #2

Hello Eagle Families:
Tuesday, April 9th is SAT day for juniors and seniors who did not test last year. The SAT is a required exam for graduation in the state of New Mexico.
All other students not taking the SAT will have a remote learning day with class assignments posted on Schoology. There will be a survey to fill out for your Student Development class as well so please be sure to check all classes.
To all SAT testers, please arrive on time and report to your student development teacher first thing in the morning. Your Student Development teacher will take attendance, review the schedule for the day, and let you know in which room you will be testing. Students will not be released from the testing room until everyone has finished. Please note that cell phones, smart watches, earbuds, or any other electronic device are prohibited during testing as it will invalidate the exam.
Thank you

Dear Eagle Families, We have been asked to change parent pick-up in the afternoon. The purpose of the change is to prevent vehicles from standing/parking on the north side of Delgado Ave. as there are gas lines directly underneath and city officials want to prevent any issues. City officials & BPD Chief Harris have collaborated with BCS Administration to change the traffic flow for in the afternoon. Parent vehicles will enter from Christopher Road and travel west behind the football stadium then turn east onto the main road through campus. Parents enter the existing parent pick-up driveway where students will wait in the same area as they do now. The changed flow should prevent back-ups as this entire area allows for more vehicles. PLEASE DO NOT ENCOURAGE YOUR CHILD TO MEET YOU ON CHRISTOPHER ROAD, as this will pose increased safety risks because busses will be exiting through Christopher Rd. All pick-ups will occur in the existing pick-up area, we are only changing where parent vehicles will access the pick-up area. Attached is a link showing the route to follow. We will let parents know of the upcoming change this week and the change will take place Monday 4/8/24. https://5il.co/2hp0b
