Central Families, Please don't forget that we have our whole school walking fieldtrip to BHS to see the Wizard of Oz on Wednesday April 23rd. If your child does not have a signed permission slip by Wednesday they will not be able to go. Just a friendly reminder.

Central Families, This year we will be having an all day field day, and would greatly appreciate if parents can donate a case of water. We want the students to stay hydrated. We appreciate your support. Field day will be May 21st so any time before that date would be great.

Central Families, No soccer practice this Friday April 18th due to our four day break. Look forward to seeing everyone back on Tuesday April 22nd.

Central Families, We have 2 upcoming events. One for the Wizard of Oz, it is a walking trip to BHS for our whole school. We need all forms in by Thursday April 17th. Unfortunately there is not enough seats for parents to attend. We also have Explora Night on April 29th and we need to know who will be attending. We gave out forms for P/T conferences. Explora is providing us a bus it will be here at the school at 5:00pm. The event is from 5:30-7:00pm. That form is also due this Thursday.

Central Families, Don't forget that this week and next are 4-day weeks. Students are off Friday April 18th and Monday April 21st for Easter break. Have a great 4-day weekend/break!

Central Families, We are noticing a lot of students being dropped off on Picard Ave. or at the front of the school in the morning. We need to utilize the parent drop off lane. The back gate opens at 8:30am. Prior to 8:30am no one is on duty to supervise students. Thank you for your continued support and understanding. Thank you.

Central Families, Our yearbook is now on sale. The cost is $20. Our yearbook committee has been hard at work. The students and Mr. McConnehey have been working all year to make it great. Central Families, Don't forget back to school tomorrow. Hope everyone had a restful Spring Break. Tomorrow is picture day. You can order online or send in the money if interested in ordering. It is class pictures and retakes if you missed them in the Fall. This week we have a fun spirit week to kick off testing. This week we also have our NM-MSSA carnival for those students that were proficient on last years test. We also included students that have shown exceptional growth this year.

Central Families, I ran out of space on the last message. When students return we will have a fun testing spirit kickoff week March 24th-28th. Monday-Dress to Impress Tuesday-Superhero, Wednesday-Jersey Day, Thursday-Crazy Hair, Friday-Pirate Day. We are also asking parents if possible to buy a case of water to help students stay hydrated during upcoming state testing and field day. Central Families, Don't forget that tomorrow March 13th is an early release day, students get out at 12:50pm. Conferences will go until 7pm tomorrow. No School on Friday March 14th. Spring Break is from March 17th-March 23rd. Students return Monday March 24th. March 24th is picture day. We will be doing class pictures and individual pictures. Picture forms went home this week. Have a wonderful break!

Central Families, Don't forget about our Father Daughter Dance tonight 5-7pm. You can still get tickets today and at the door. Hope you will participate in this fun event.

Central Families, Attached is the March calendar. It is a busy month. This week we kick off Dr. Seuss week. On Friday March 7th we have our Father Daughter Dance. We haven't sold many tickets. They are $5 per couple. We hope to make this a successful event, with proceeds going back to your kids. Get in on the FUN! Next week we have P/T Conferences. Week of the 17th-21st is Spring Break. Central Families, The city will be doing some construction on Ross Ave. for the next couple of days and will be closing part of Ross Ave. by our school. It should not disturb pick up/drop off but may slow things down a bit. Just wanted you to be advised. Thank you for your patience. ~Ms. Garcia
