Our apologies that parents, teachers, and families received PowerSchool Notifications in the early morning hours today. Good afternoon,
To follow-up on our previous message. The only information that we have is that there are postings on social media saying that there will be shootings at each one of our sites. We have not found any proof that these threats are true. We are working with Belen PD. They will have an officer posted at each school site tomorrow. Again, we have no information other than what I have shared.

Good afternoon,
There has been a rash of messages on social media regarding the possibility of a school shooting happening tomorrow at all BCS sites including one that is no longer in existence. I want to assure you that we take all such reports seriously no matter how farfetched they may seem. In working with Belen PD, we have found no evidence to substantiate these claims. We will continue to remain on alert. If you become aware of any new information please share with Belen PD.

We are now accepting physicals for our girls and boys bball teams. The first 15 physicals turned in to the office with the certificate of completion of the concussion course will be on the team. The concussions course for students can be found at nfhs.learn. Physical paperwork can be found on beleneagles.org

DCE is looking for coaches for both our girls and boys' basketball teams! If you are interested, call our office. Any 5th or 6th grader who would like to play will need a current physical and to complete the concussion course on NFHS. Season starts soon!

All teachers in the district are now using ROOMS to communicate with home. You must get signed up so you do not miss any important information. All teachers will send home a paper invite this week for those who were unsuccessful with the link sent out last week. Please look for this invite in your child's backpack.

Say "hello" to Rooms, the districts new two-way communication tool! Look for an invitation via text or email to sign up!
