Hello Rio Grande Families, We have some great news! Belen Consolidated Schools has purchased a majority of the school supplies this year! There are only a couple of things that need to be purchased. Good morning Eagle Families, A reminder that Monday, June 19th is a recognized state holiday in honor of Juneteenth. All BCS sites will be closed that day in observance of the holiday.

Dear Parents and Guardians, Tomorrow, April 18th, Netflix will be shooting a scene at Blakes for an upcoming movie. Netflix had indicated that this could result in some traffic delays. Please be aware that law enforcement will be out helping with traffic control. We will not count your students as tardy tomorrow due to this possible delay. Please call if you have any questions. Belen Consolidated Schools will not be accepting flower or balloon deliveries for students due to safety issues with glass vases. Thank you for your understanding. Good evening Rio Grande parents and guardians. This is just a reminder that tomorrow, February 8th, is a full day. School begins at 8:35 and ends at 4:00. It is a regular day for preschool. Morning preschool begins at 8:15 and ends at 11:15. Afternoon preschool begins at 12:45 and ends at 3:45. Have a great Eagle Evening!

Free Tutoring for PreK-8 Students PED announces its new tutoring service in partnership with Paper that focuses on mathematics, language arts and science. The program offers students in grades preK-8 from New Mexico Title I Schools access to free academic support from tutors on a secure platform. All Belen Consolidated Schools’ students who choose to participate will receive 20 hours of tutoring at no cost to families. Good evening Rio Grande Families, This is just a reminder that we will have our Flu Shot Clinic on December 2nd in the afternoon. We must have all paperwork in by Thursday, December 1st, in order to have enough shots for everyone. If you need a form please call the office at 966-2200. Thank you!

Good evening Rio Grande parents and guardians. I wanted to let you know that the Flu Shot Clinic will take place at RGE on Friday, December 2nd, in the afternoon. If you do not have your child's form in to the school you have until November 31st. Also, if you still have money and raffle tickets out please send them tomorrow. The drawing is scheduled for Wednesday, November 16th.

Good evening Rio Grande parents and guardians. This is a friendly reminder to please not use the bus lane to drop off your students in the morning. Also, please do not park across the street or in front of the school to drop off your child. This becomes a huge safety concern. We take the safety of our students as our number one priority!

Good evening Rio Grande parents and guardians. As you know we take the safety of your children very serious. It is very important that when picking up your child early you have a form of identification with you. We also ask that if you are sending someone else to pick up your child that they also have a form of identification and are on the list of people you have allowed to pick up your child. If you pick up your child in drive through lane or the walk up please make sure you have your colored card with you. If you do not you may be asked to go to the office to verify your identity. Thank you for your cooperation. Again, we are trying our best to keep your child safe.

Good evening Rio Grande parents. This is just a reminder that we will be participating in an evacuation drill tomorrow August 18th. Please remind your students to wear comfortable shoes because they will be walking to the bus compound. The police will be stopping traffic for us. Remember this is only a drill. Thank you.

On Friday I sent out a letter letting you know that we are changing our drop-off and pick-up procedures. You will now come in from River Road to Eastside School Road and turn right into the concrete lane. You will then exit to Orchard. This will be the last change we make. Thank you for your patience.

Good evening Rio Grande Families, Our first day with students went very well. I believe all the students enjoyed their teachers. In order to help with the student drop-off we need for all parents to turn on Jarales Road, then turn left on Orchard and come in through the back of the school. Please follow the same directions for picking up your students. As we learn the parents our process will go much smoother. Thank you for your patience in this matter.

Orientation/Open House will be held on Monday, August 1, 2022 in the school cafeteria. The schedule is as follows: August 1, 2022 Kindergarten-8:00 A.M.-9:30 A.M. First Grade-10:00 A.M.-11:30 A.M. Second Grade-12:00 P.M.-1:30 P.M. Third Grade-2:00 P.M.-3:30 P.M.
