Central Families, We also need to fill two lunch aide positions for the upcoming school year. This is an easy position. You watch the students at lunch recess and in the cafeteria from 11am-1pm (2 hours) everyday Monday-Friday. Just need to pass a background check. Central Families, Two days left this school year. I hope you will send your child until the end. We are hoping to improve our attendance, and need your help and support in making sure your kiddos come everyday. Next two days are abbreviated days. Dismissal is 1:51pm both days. We are continuing our fun spirit days. Tomorrow is color wars (4th-green, 5th-red, 6th-yellow) and Wednesday is "Country or Country Club" wear (western wear or tennis wear). Last week was a fun and busy week. Thank you to all the parents that came out for 6th grade promotion and our music performances. We hope to have more events next year. Belen High School boys will be having a kid's camp in June. Coaches and players will be teaching fundamental skills to our youth that attend. Each camper will receive a basketball and there will be fun games for the kids and awards.

We had a minor medical emergency. EMS was called. All protocols were followed for the safety of our students and staff. Instruction continues as normal.

Central Families, We will be having our Muffins for Moms event tomorrow from 8:10-8:50am. We will also be having our Career Day from 1-3pm. We will have a food truck as one of our guests and students will be allowed to buy if they would like. Agua Frescas will be $3. Plates range from $6-$13. Dear Central Families. Can you please be checking your child’s backpacks for any toys are any inappropriate items that should not bringing to school. We want to make sure that they are not bringing items they are not supposed to. This is also a great time to clean backpacks out so that teachers can send books and completed work. Central Famlies, Please get your yearbook orders in. The deadline is April 19, 2024. If we don't have at least fifty sold we will be unable to order it. We are currently at about twenty-five sold. The cost is twenty dollars. Thank you so much for your support. Ms. Garcia, Principal.

Central Families, We have been provided the below safety guidelines for Monday: Safety guidelines for the Solar Eclipse occurring on Monday April 8, 2024, for Belen Consolidated Schools - Elementary Sites that for recess use your procedures for inclement weather and students stay inside. Students will stay inside for lunch recess as to not damage their eyes from the Solar Eclipse. Parents also know that they are still filming near CES and so parents will exit through the bus lane and buses will drop off on Picard. Ross will be closed again for filming. Please don't forget to attend Donuts for Dads on Friday April 12th from 8:10-8:50am. Also, we start testing this week so please have your child here on time and present for the next two weeks. Central Families, They will be filming a movie by Central Elementary on April 4th and April 8th. School buses will be dropping students on Picard. Parents will still use the drop off lane but will drive through the bus lane back onto Picard to exit. We appreciate your patience on these two days. Thank you!
