La Merced Families, Tomorrow, August 24th, La Merced Elementary will be preforming an evacuation drill. Students and staff will evacuate to the Presbyterian church. Transportation will be available for students who are unable to walk. Please make sure that your student is dressed appropriately, with shoes and clothes that are comfortable to walk in. You may also want to apply sunscreen before sending your students to school and that your student comes with a water bottle. The road to La Merced will be closed starting at 9:00am until the evacuation is complete. If your student is late, you will be required to wait to drop them off until the school opens again. Thank you for your cooperation and have the best day ever.

La Merced Families, There has been a change in the new leader for LME. Ms. Pam Silva has declined the position. Mr. David Olander will be the new principal at LME. He was the second choice and has accepted the position. He is currently teaching at BMS. We are working with Ms. Montoya to determine when she will be able to release to assume his new duties at LME , but I feel confident that it should be no later than next Monday. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this transition. Please let me know if you have any questions.
