Good Afternoon Parents and Guardians of La Merced, Our nurse's office is in need of shoe donations. We are in need of youth size shoes, 11, 12, and 13, and adult size shoes 1-4. We especially are in need of boys shoes. We appreciate your help. Shoes can be dropped off at the front office.

BCS Transportation Department Good Evening Eagle Parents, this coming Wednesday, August 9, 2023, The President of the United States will be traveling to New Mexico, thru Valencia County. He is expected be passing thru the Belen Consolidated School District at approximately 12:00 noon and expected exit at or around 2:00 PM. Because of security, we do not know the route he will be taking and expect road closures at or around these proposed times. We are taking precautionary measures regarding student transportation. The Rio Grande Elementary PM (Afternoon) Pre-K class will be cancelled on Wednesday only. All other school sites bus rides home are expected to run on time. We will notify you all with any changes to schedule.

Good Afternoon La Merced families. Transportation at La Merced will not be affected by the Lockdown at Belen High School. Students riding the buses will be released at the regular time.

Good Afternoon! We are excited to announce that we will once again be having the after school program. We are also excited to announce that beginning Monday, August 7, we will be starting up the Before School program. Before school program will run from 6:45 am until 8:30 am. After school program runs from 3:30 pm until 6:00 pm. If interested come by the office to pick up an application.

Good evening, Eagle Families, As we prepare for the start of school, we ask for your patience if you registered your student to ride the bus for this school year. It is part of District regulations that your student's bus driver make contact with the parent to make sure the parent understands where and when their student will be picked up by the bus. Our drivers are working hard to contact the parents before the start of school tomorrow. However, we have had a large number of parents who registered their students today for bus pickup and drop-off. if you have not yet talked to your bus drive, you will need to provide transportation for your student until your bus driver is able to make contact with you. If you have questions, please call our transportation department at 505-966-1176.

Hello Parents and Guardians of La Merced Elementary. We are now enrolling kindergarten students. Please let your relatives, friends, and neighbors know if they have a kindergarten student. Our office is open from 7:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. -4:00 p.m. Please do come and enroll as soon as possible to avoid the last minute rush. The first day of school is August 2nd. This afternoon until 6pm is Family Night at our Book Fair. The Book Fair is open from now until 6pm. All parents and families are welcome to visit. Every student that comes will be entered into a drawing for a boys and a girls book basket!!

6th grade students are testing tomorrow and Tuesday for the NM-MSSA which is the state test. Please see that your child is present to school, on time, and does not leave early. Thank you.

5th graders will NM-MSSA test tomorrow and Friday of this week. This is the state test for both ELA and Math. Our students are ready and we are confident they will do well! Please see that your 5th grader is on time and present at school the next two days.

4th grade students will test in ELA tomorrow, Thursday 4/6, for NM-MSSA, the state test. As there is no school on Friday 4/7 and Monday 4/10, 4th graders will test again in Math on Tues. 4/11. Please see that your child is present and on time as students do best when they test with their homeroom. It's show time! Our students are ready and will make us proud!
